Aftaab e Wilayat is a publication dedicated to scholarly study of the history of Islam, it’s literature, jurisprudence, culture and other aspects of the Islamic world. It is for all Muslims in general and for Shias of the Ahle Bait (peace be upon them) in specific.
Thos website (an online version of the magazine) seeks the following
to place leadership of the Islamic nation under the guidance of the infallible sons of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon them) as its central focus of academic inquiry
- To encourage comprehensive consideration of the many facets of Imamat as a whole and in particular the event of Ghadeer
- To provide a forum for the study of Islam and Muslim societies in their global context
- To encourage studies of the books on the subject that are cross-national and comparative
- To promote the diffusion, exchange and discussion of research findings
- To encourage interaction among Muslims from various traditions of learning.
The website is dedicated to narrating the lives and times of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) and his infallible sons (peace be upon them).
The infallible sons of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) alone have enlivened the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon and his progeny). They alone have guided the Muslim community on the right path as defined by the Noble Quran and correct Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon and his progeny).
The website contains articles proving the leadership of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them) in the light of the verses of the Noble Quran and the correct Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon and his progeny) from sources rooted in the books of the Shia and Ahle Tasannun scholars.
The infallible sons of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon them) have excellence over all others. Their virtues, which are innumerable, have been documented in some detail for the benefit of all Muslims. In this way, the readers can better appreciate their right to leadership of the Muslim nation.
The Ahle Tasannun scholars across various sects and groups have documented virtues of Ahle Bait (peace be upon them) and this is highlighted in the articles of the website.
The website also has articles related to biographies of noted Islamic scholars who have served religion. Then there are articles on the books written by such scholars on the lives of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them), their rightfulness and service to religion. All this sourced from the reliable books of the Shia and Ahle Tasannun scholars.
We have also introduced evidence on the rightfulness of the infallibles (peace be upon them) with help from Urdu prose and poetry.
The website aims to present the real Islamic ideals based on peace and brotherhood and dispel all misconceptions to the contrary.
Aftaab e Wilayat means Sun of Leadership – Aftaab means sun and Wilayat means Leadership.
According to Shia and Ahle Tasannun sources Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) is the shining sun and the true successor of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.). This fact is so widely documented in books of both sects that it is as evident as the Sun. Hence the name Aftaab e Wilayat (Sun of Leadership).
